Have you ever wanted to bid on 1 or 2 items at an Auction and did not want to sit through 8 hours of auction to do it? Have you ever wanted to place your bids at an auction but still attend another event with your family? Have you ever wanted to bid on items in an Auction on the other side of the world, but had to get your sleep... BidLive's Pre-Bid facility might be the answer for you.
Bidlive's Pre-Bid is simple, once you have requested to bid at an Auction on Bidlive and are approved to bid, just sign into the bidlive site using you login and password. After your successful login you will see a button "Pre-Bid on this item" when looking at an items details. All you need to do is Click on this button and place your maximum bid on the item, and let Bidlive do the rest for you.
Bidlive will automatically bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid limit and not beyond. Your bids will be placed just as a normal bidder's online bid, concluding when you have either won the item, or the bids have past your max bid amount. As an example, if you place a bid on an item for maximum amount of USD 40,000, and your bid is the highest bid when bidding stops at 25,000, that is the price you get, on the other hand, if the bidding passes your maximum bid amount, your bids will stop being placed.
Bidlive Pre-Bid Advantage:
The advantage to Bidlive's Pre-Bid system, compared to other systems and absentee bid systems is the Auctioneer does not know you are using Pre-Bid. Your bids appear the same as if you were sitting in front of your computer using the Bidlive bidding applet and pressing the bid button. The Auctioneer does not know the bid is being placed automatically or your max bid limit for the item, assuring you get it for the best price.
Important to remember:
When you bid with Bidlive's Pre-Bid, it is the same as if you were pressing the bid button on the applet yourself during the Auction. Winning bids are final, and irrevocable, so make sure before you Pre-Bid.
All terms of the Auction apply to Pre-Bids, and there is no difference regarding the terms of the auction as they apply to bids, whether made using the bidding applet yourself, or using the Pre-Bid system.
